Certified Abilities

A Certified AIDA Pool Competition Safety Freediver is trained to provide safety at official AIDA pool diving competitions, covering static apnea, dynamic with fins, dynamic without fins, and dynamic with bi-fins disciplines. In the near future, only individuals with this certification will be authorized to provide safety for AIDA's pool events. By participating in these competitions, certified Safety Freedivers accumulate experience points, which are taken into account when selecting safety personnel for prestigious contests like the AIDA World Championships. Safety Freedivers ascend through four levels of recognition, each reflecting the quantity of experience points they have earned.

The certification is part of the comprehensive Vertical Blue Professional Safety Freediver® program, which is designed to unify freediving safety procedures during AIDA competitions. The benefits of obtaining this certification include the official recognition of safety expertise at various levels and increased opportunities to contribute to high-level events.
