Trainings are fun yet technical and well supervised. You can improve very fast thanks to Yuriy's knowledge, the regular trainings, and the group of more experienced divers who are supportive and generous in sharing advice. I trained both in the pool and at sea to get certified. Every training felt like I learnt a lot and improved both my technique and love for the practice.

Beyond that, the sense of community Yuriy has created is truly magical: I felt like I was part of a family within a few minutes of meeting everyone. The Pirates group will welcome you with open arms and make you laugh above and under the sea (recommended to take your snorkel off first)!

The water condition in Nov was calm and temperature at 27-29 degC was great for a 1.5mm wetsuit. The highlight however was freediving with Yuriy who is very experienced and encouraged me to try new things to fine tune my technique. Most importantly, during my deep dives, Yuriy made me feel very safe and assured. Overall excellent experience and would recommend it to Freedivers of any level!

The man has and ocean of experience, but what truly stands out is the patience and commitment when he transfers these skills to students. I have done AIDA2 course with him and what really struck me is how he works with each person at their own pace to get them to the milestones needed to be certified for that level. Once you have completed a course with him, you truly feel able, comfortable, and confident to do the dive.
2. A Real Passion for Freediving: Yuriy has a sincere love for freediving. My experience with his business stands in stark contrast to the experience I had with a different company when I did my Scuba course. Freediving UAE is not just out to get your money.
